Doing What Needs to be Done

I haven't run at all this week. I've been bad. Its mainly because I just had a test Wednesday and all my free time has been devoted to that. I probally will go running Friday, but I need to make sure that I get 3 days of exercise in a week. I need to up my game.

Then I weighed myself at Publix on Tuesday...I went up 3 pounds. I'm back at 193, well at least its not my original weight. The fact that I've been so busy makes it hard for me to do everything I need to in order to lose weight. I think it all comes down to good time management.

So, now I'm going to take some steps to help myself manage my time better.
  1. Keep up with Task/Assignment List.
  2. Nightly write a todo list for the next day.
  3. When starting on homework, do the hardest task first.
  4. During tasks take 5-10 minute breaks every 30 minutes.
I believe these few things will really help me to: Know what needs to be done, have the motivation to do it, and do it.

I've already made my task list for today so I'm off to a good start.

Progress

I feel like I'm making some progress. I feel that I've lost weight and I'm gaining some endurance. I ran yesterday and today (yay!). Although yesterday I stopped more than I usually do.

Wow! - Calorie Counting Reveals a Lot

So, I counted calories today. I simply eat horribly. I only had two meals today, and I had enough calories in me to justify 4 meals. My total count is 1833 cal. This isn't bad, but the fact that this was only from two meals is.

In order to track my calorie intake I'm using Calorie Count from About.com

I did run today. I did wake up early today. Two good things about today. I'm going running tomorrow morning so that will be tough waking up.

Also, good news, I weighed myself today when I went to Publix and I'm at 195 lbs. I was at 199/200 so thats good. No thats great!

Wake up early 5 days a week for 2 weeks. (6/10)
Run 3 days a week for a month. (1/12)
Go from 200 lbs to 150 lbs. (5/50)

Being Proactive

Okay, one of the things on my list is to lose weight. Its really depressing to see the scale go so high, so I've decided to try and be more proactive when it comes to losing weight.

Now instead of just exercising, and hoping that I lose weight, I'm going to count calories.

Jumping the Gun

Even though its the beginning of my journey I have jumped the gun a bit. Though I did successfully wake up early all week, I only ran once. I got lazy on Wednesday, and then I had a spur of the moment decision to go home. So, another opportunity didn't arise. I might decide to go running tomorrow, but its not definite.

Today's Summary:

Wake up early 5 days a week for 2 weeks. (5/10)
Run 3 days a week for a month. (0/12)

Off to a Running Start

Today I woke up at 7 am. I managed to pull it off by leaving my car parked overnight in an area that the restrictions start at 7:30 am. That will definitely get me out of bed.

After I took my car to the garage I cam back and went running. The run was intense because it was the first time I've ever ran alone. But I did make it to my turn around spot without stopping, and on the way back I only stopped twice. This is a improvement from the last time I went running (Friday) when I stopped 3 or 4 times.

So as a summary:

Wake up early 5 days a week for 2 weeks. (1/10)
Run 3 days a week for a month. (1/12)
